Mohit Sukhani
Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountant. Equity Research, IIFL Capital.
Why this site exists
Most of the questions students ask about CA, CMA and CFA are not really about the syllabus. They are about sequencing, judgement and nerve: which subject to attempt first, whether to take another attempt, whether an articleship firm is the right one, whether to leave a job that is not going anywhere. Those questions do not have textbook answers, and they are hard to ask in a room full of people.
So this site does one thing. You describe your question, you join a queue, and we speak for ten minutes. Afterwards the call is summarised and added to the Knowledge Archive, so the next person with the same question finds the answer without waiting for a slot. The archive is the point: each call answers a question once, and then keeps answering it.
Background
I qualified as a Chartered Accountant and as a Cost Accountant, and cleared CFA Level 1. At the Institute of Cost Accountants of India convocation I received medals and subject prizes alongside the qualification. I was also selected for the Management Development Programme run at IIM Kozhikode for CA rank holders on behalf of ICAI.
I currently work in equity research at IIFL Capital, having joined recently. Most of my week goes on reading company filings, building models and forming a view on businesses.
That combination is why the guidance here leans practical rather than academic. I sat these exams recently enough to remember exactly what the pressure feels like, and I work in a field a lot of candidates are aiming at, so I can be specific about what the job actually involves rather than guessing at it.

Along the way

What I can help with
- Subject-level doubts across CA, CMA and CFA, where five minutes of conversation beats an hour of reading.
- Exam strategy: attempt planning, subject order, revision approach, and what to do after an attempt that did not go your way.
- Articleship and firm selection, and what to actually look for in one.
- Career direction after qualifying, including whether equity research or finance is a realistic fit for you.
- Job search questions: what employers in this field look for, and how to read a role honestly.
What I cannot help with
This is guidance, not professional service. I do not give tax opinions, audit advice, legal advice, or investment recommendations on specific securities, and nothing said on a call should be relied on for a filing, a transaction or an investment decision. If your question needs a formal opinion, it needs a proper engagement with a professional, not a ten-minute call.
I also cannot promise a result. Nobody can tell you that you will clear an attempt, and anyone who does is selling you something.
